Up our game...

Tough day today and the worse we have played for a long long time.

What do we need? We need passion we need energy we need more ambition and responsibility. We have quality what we lacked today was legs.

Too many players ball watching and waiting for the ball against a team that wanted it more and took control. Painswick were good for and deserved the win.

If you cannot last a full game at the Intensity required then you are not fit enough. Teams that do well outrun the opposition first and then have the composure when it matters most. Painswick outran us today.

Tom was the motm and gave a typical Tom moment. Instructed to play 2 and 3 touch and sit deep he immediately went on a mazy dribble and found himself inside the Painswick 6yd box playing a cross. More than this he gave some much needed energy and tempo.

Jacob scored from the penalty spot following a handball in the box.

There was some introspection after the game with a lot of the lads contributing to discussion around what went wrong and what needs to change.

Take responsibility for your own performance and do what's necessary to make sure it doesn't happen again. Teams are as good as their weakest man make sure it's not you.
