Every Saturday, startng at 9am, there is a free to enter, timed run called 'Park Run'. This is a countrywide initiative to simply get people running.
It's not a race. It's a timed run.
Run it, run-walk it or walk it. You get an official time and then you try to beat that.
Simple!
On Saturday 20th July i would like to have as many players take part in this (mums, dads and siblings shouldnt be shy about joining us either).
Among the players we have a wide range of running ability but i stress that this isn't a race. Register online then print and keep your barcode safe. Run on 20th July and get a time. Then get motivated to beat that when we next run as a team or if you want to on your own.
Simple!
How does this fit in with your football? Well that's even easier... while we are a match, on our day, for most teams we are not the biggest or the strongest team so to compete we need to be the fittest.

LRFC Cougars U13 Season 2012/13 Review
A
difficult season. Funnily enough not necessarily because of ability but
more because of availability. The league table does not lie and we have
finished 5th out of 8 teams - comfortably outside relegation but not
challenging.
We played 14 league matches scoring 46 goals (which includes 2 own goals) but conceding 48.
When you consider availability we have had four players that played every match this season, Willbo, Louis, Luca and Freddie............

Week beginning 03/06
Training
Just a reminder that there is training at The Burrows from 1830hrs on Wednesday evening through to 1930-1945hrs. It might be good for the lads to bring running shoes, if they have them, or other trainers that they can run in for the start of the session. They should, obviously, also bring their football trainers/boots and shin pads too.Presentation Day
The LRFC Club Presentation day is this coming Saturday (08/06) details are on the club website here (http://leckhamptonrovers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/lrfc-presentation-day-8th-june.html). Hopefully we'll see a lot of the lads there and wearing their kit.
Paintball
The following weekend (15/06), aswell as being Fathers Day, is also when we go paint-balling. More details will follow and can i also request that anyone that hasn't paid arranges to do so in the next week.
