Gotherington Match - rearranged

Our league match v Gotherington has been rearranged for a midday
kick-off on Sunday and will be played at Winchcombe School on the 3G
astro-turf.

The address is Greet Road, Winchcombe, GL54 5LB.

We should aim to meet there at midday, when the pitch becomes
available, for a midday kick-off.

I am not sure what footwear is permitted on this pitch so please bring
trainers just in case blades or mouldies are not allowed.

Subs for the match will be £2 a player to cover the cost of the pitch.

Gotherington Home Match - 02/02

Sunday (02/02) we have a league match v Gotherington at Naunton Park. Kick-off is at 2pm. As we are the home team we should aim to meet at 1:15 to set-up the pitch etc.

 

If the weather continues in this vein I will do a pitch inspection on Sunday morning to make a decision. If the pitch is unplayable we will first look to play at Gotherington, if that's not viable then the game will be called off. If anything changes I will keep you updated on Sunday morning via text, if you do not hear anything then assume we are on at Naunton Park.

U15's Cup Match

Today's U15's cup match that Will T, George, Freddie and Luca were due
to play in has been cancelled due to the state if the pitch.

No outing for the musketeers (and D'Artagnan) today...

All for one..... four turn out for U15's this weekend...

Leckhampton Rovers U15's have a cup game this Sunday (26/01) against Kings Stanley U15's. Unfortunately, due to injury, they find themselves short of players. However, the rules of the competition mean that they can recruit, as a one-off, players from within the club at the younger age group. 

Step forward George, Freddie, Will T and Luca who will be playing for them this weekend in a 2 o'clock kick off at the Burrows.

Gotherington Match Rescheduled

Our match v Gotherington that was postponed this weekend has been
rescheduled for 2nd February at Naunton Park.

We have no fixtures on 26/01.

Gotherington Match Cancelled

We have been unable to organise to reverse the fixture v Gotherington
so the match has been cancelled.

Gotherington Match

Our home fixture v Gotherington has been cancelled so in the
circumstances Gotherington need to check if their pitch is useable.

This will be checked in the morning and notification as to whether we
are going ahead, as an away fixture, or not will follow quickly
afterwards.

League Match V Gotherington (19/01)

Sunday 19/01 we have our last match of the first part of the season at home to Gotherington Juniors.

 

After this match the division will split in two with a Division 1 and Division 2.

Harvey

Harvey has decided to leave the Cougars in favour of basketball. This was not an easy decision for him but ultimately a choice had to be made. 

Harvey was an excellent member of the squad and team who joined us from the Leckhampton Rovers Lynx. Starting out as a striker his versatility saw him play a number of positions but settling, ultimately, in full-back where his athleticism and tough tackling really saw the best of him. A popular member of the squad we will definitely miss him. Bus as they say, when is a door not a door? When it's ajar (i'll get my coat).
