Painswick away.....

A tough away day in our penultimate fixture of the season with Painswick away this Sunday..

This is an already tough fixture made tougher by lots of absences (at very short/no notice). We have played them, and done well, in these circumstances before.

The game will be played at Vanderbreen Street, Bisley, Stroud, GL6 7BN and is around a 30 minute drive.

Meet at the ground for 1:30 ahead of the 2:00 kick off.

Mark and Simon will be taking the team this weekend.

LRFC New Signing

The January transfer window may have closed but there is still value to be had if you know where to look. Having spent months scouring the markets in the far east, South America and Gloucester it turns out there is value right under your nose. 

He may not have a YouTube show reel, a WAG, a contract with a skincare product manufacturer, hair product manufacturer or even poundland; he may not have a fancy agent called Kia or even a car by Kia. But don't let that detract from his quality, he is more Morrisons that Poundland, more SEAT than Skoda, more Nike than Skeechers. 

Following a tradition of players that have signed for LRFC from CTFC, ok there has been one previous, LRFC U18's are very pleased to confirm the singing of Fergus Jackson on an initial two game no pay as you play contract. 

Fergus is a player well known to the squad having represented the club previously and memorably. He returns, older, and perhaps lighter than he was before but none the wiser. The latter should see him fit into the squad with ease. 

When asked about his emotional return he said all the right things, he would be proud (ish) to play for the team,  he was looking forward (ish) to getting out there and just playing. He was not heard not commenting on the refueling and training habits of some of the players and based on that was looking forward to meeting Charlie Adam, Jan Molby and Paul Gascoigne.
